I was going to write about yesterday's announcement of more cutbacks at the Chronicle, and the decision of the Christian Science Monitor to cut back to a once-a-week print issue. Instead, I watched this video, sent by a designer friend of mine, and remembered why it is I bother with writing, and why I'll try to keep showing up for my part of the job regardless of who's left in publishing.
