Yesterday was the one year anniversary of my father in law's death, and we spent a little more time than usual talking about him. Andrew cooked the fried rice that was BT's specialty, and we had a good laugh remembering the first time I met him, cooking in Andrew and Joe's underlit grad school apartment.
When I went downstairs to clean up, a photo fell off a stack of albums - a picture of one year old Maddy handing her delighted grandpa, who's seated cross legged on the floor, a toy.
Don't have that picture scanned so I'm posting this one instead, from 2006. We miss you, BT.
