Local author Kelly Corrigan has made it big with her touching memoir, The Middle Place, about her battle with breast cancer as her beloved dad fought his own cancer battle. Having heard Kelly read a few times I'd heard this story before...but Borders stepped up and filmed Kelly's mom Mary Corrigan in action (thanks to Kelly for sending it along to me.) Moms and children of moms will recognize the no-nonsense approach that Mrs. Corrigan employs here...and if The Second Mrs. Douglass ever makes it into print I'll be making sure my mom is on board for some guerilla marketing of her own.
